Markham had pleasure in recieving reports on Salamons lyric adventures. He wants more knowledge on Salamons's ways and works. Salamon has done writings and translatioing of Leon Feraru. Markham is also repling upon writing their message to the Latin American people.

California poet. Raised near Vacaville, became a schoolteacher in Coloma and later in Oakland. Became famous overnight with publication of "The Man with a Hoe," his protest against brutalization of labor, in "San Francisco Examiner" (January 15, 1899). Following this success Markham moved to New York where he scored another triumph with "Lincoln and Other Poems" (1901). He became a well-known reader of his own poems and lecturer of idealistic views, but his creative output for remainder of life ...
